I guess the idea is to set a price for 12 frets per octave (not restricted by the exact tuning), and to give a rough idea how much a 11- or 13-EDO guitar will cost.

But speaking of 12-EDO:
Is there a term like "microtonal", "macrotonal", "ekmelic" or "xenharmonic" that includes any scale or tuning, even 12-EDO, or sub-tunings like 6-EDO? It annoys me that microtonal music is usually defined as "something that is not 12-EDO", which makes 12-EDO look unnecessarily special.

...anyway, nice design. :)

Thread about 'eleutherotonal' (freetonal): http://www.nonoctave.com/forum/messages/8113.html
Quite a long word though to type ... so lazy ...

Constructive suggestion: the site needs a better photo of these new guitars.

EDIT: how about 'metatonal' ...

Thanks, it's nice to hear that I'm not the only one who feels uncomfortable with terms like 'microtonal'. :)

I really like the ring of 'freetonal', but it's already in use with a different meaning, just like 'metatonal'. And 'eleutherotonal' is a word most people will forget after you explained it to them. Anyway, I think I should read the full topic on non-octave first. ^^

I feel 'xenharmonic' doesn't come across so well in speech, to someone who isn't familiar with the spelling it comes across as 'zen harmonic' music.

Oo ... oo ... sexy ... gorgeous design. I love that vicious ESP type headstock and the maple board, looks like it could be flat radius too, yum. I'm guessing you get these guitars built without a fretboard and add it yourself ...

indeed, and these are the same quality you find in jackson, ibanez, peavey, schecter, etc, because this is the same factory that produces them!

thanks for the comments...  I make the fretboards+necks on these thinner than ibanez rg's,  closer to matching early/mid 90's jackson pro dinky reverse.

I honestly have never found a better factory guitar than the jackson DK2 reverse.  If you buy one of these, you will be amazed at the quality and how they play. the only problem is, youll have to look for it because theyre all used now, and the new ones arent nice.

So I was going for something like those. The pickups in my guitars are actually really awesome sounding and clear....ill do videos soon and promos, etc etc etc

Site looks awesome!

I don't understand the statement that "All our catalog guitars are made completely by hand" ... does that mean that the 7-string run are not "catalog guitars?"

ah yes , just fixed that - technically these factory produced ones arent by hand - only the fretboards are of course.

Soon I'll have fully loaded strats and superstrats at ultra affordable prices, removable fretboard systems for electric guitars, and I'm also looking to get some bohlen-piece 9-string guitars made so they are more affordable...
