Interesting. It's got those 70s guitar riffs in there. 7edo is very bluesy... it was used in a number of traditional African musical styles as well as Southeast Asia, and I suspect the blues is derived from it. I've been doing a jazz thing in 14edo lately... seems like a natural fit.
Do you have any more information about this group?

Is Jason on this board?
I've been listening to this and his Sierpinski's Casket album, and they're fantastic stuff. I don't know if SC is microtonal... I don't hear it, but it's brilliant either way. |

Last Sacrament have just completed their first tour, East coast USA.
Ron's new custom guitar is shown below, bodyshape designed by Luis Coronado, 16 EDO, 7 strings tuned in tritones (600 cents), 2 semitones more range than a standard 8 string guitar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gbPpmqG_aE https://www.youtube.com/user/LastSacramentUS/videos ![]() |

As for today the Linux based Guitarix has a build in tuner for microtonal instruments.
You have to use the Git-version, but it seems to work great. It is possible to add other tet's as well. see: http://guitarix.sourceforge.net/forum/index.php?sid=7a96b8048b713909d0bcb18e995f3c3d |

Hello! I lurk and sometimes posts at xenharmonic2 on Facebook. I'm primarily BP-oriented in my own experimentation, though I think of that as a several-year phase I'm going through. I like to build instruments (flutes, guitars, whatever's easy to build) but I also like composing music on my gameboy; for the time being analog is a tool for inspiration and digital is the actual goal.
